Welcome to 1996!
Jusy like Neocities psi36 is taking you back to the nonties. 1996 happens to be the year I bought my first vinyl record: Born Slippy by Underworld. I started spinning vinyl not long after, when I got my fisrt Technics SL-1200s and mixer. Been DJ'ing ever since and still have a large collection of 90s house, deep house, jungle, techno, and whatever I was into at the time. I moved over to Traktor and digital DJ'ing in the early 2000s, but have recently started spinning vinyl again.
In 1996 MySpace went live, and I still have a (pretty dead) page on there myspace.com/psi36. If you would like to see what it looked like in 2012 (the first time Wayback Machine captured it) you can go have a look here. Thank you Wayback Machine!
I have dabled in music making and will be serving you fresh tunes like they used to make them back in the nineties: house, rave, jungle, breakbeat. My first experiments were in the nineties with the Roland MC-303, which I sold a number of years later because I just couldn't get creative with it. Since then I have bought a bunch of hardware, the ones I love the most are my Elektron Digitakt (I) and MPC One. I recently bought a Roland MC-101 which is the latest version of a lineage of Groovemachines that started with the MC-303. I am still getting used to the 101 workflow, becuase there's a lot of menu diving and button combos, but loving it already. Hope to incorporate some of this hardware in my DJ sets, and to be able to rrelease music made on them. Stay posted!
